The show, “Seeds”, is a meditation on the ‘beginnings’ of things – the beginning of the year, the beginning of a young life blossoming into adulthood, the beginning and maturation of a painting or an idea. Over the past five years, Mantecon has worked with p:ear youth doing painting and encaustic workshops. In Lauren’s words, “These workshops are ideal for working with and being understood in a safe, non-judgmental. Once we have that, we can develop self-esteem and truly blossom.”

“Seeds” runs through March 30. Hours are First Thursday March 1, 6pm - 9pm or by chance or appointment.
