Many Portlanders find joy and inspiration as audience members watching theatre, dance or musical performances, or they find bliss and elation while rooting for the home team in a sweaty crowded stadium! Homeless youth are exiled from these experiences.

p:ear's Going Places Program takes kids off sidewalks and gives them the opportunity to take their rightful seat at the Schnitz, ART, The Rose Garden, The Keller Auditorium, Portland Center Stage, etc. Our goal is not only to expose young people to the exhilarating live performances and events that build on the lessons taught in our arts and recreation programs, but also to bring them back into the community and show them that they belong and are worthy of a place in our civic institutions.
