The p:ear Gallery is thrilled to present “Just Because you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there”, a stunning collection of work by Ryan Birkland and p:ear youth.
As one of p:ear’s longest standing champions in the Portland art community, Ryan is returning to the p:ear Gallery to bring a brand new collection of work. Utilizing salvaged windows for canvases, Ryan has generated a brilliant color palette that builds movement and a kind of three-dimensional abstract expressionist painting style.
With Ryan’s long history of supporting local non-profits and a global fan base pursuing his work, the p:ear Gallery invites you to join us for “Just because you feel it doesn’t mean it’s there”, an evening of art and community.
p:ear’s unique Job Training Program, “Coffee Works” will also be open during the opening, with youth in the program serving complimentary espresso drinks and drip coffee.
Opening: 1st Thursday November 7th, 2019, 5pm – 8pm
Regular hours: Gallery visits available 9am-2pm Tue-Fri upon request or by appt.

The p:ear gallery is proud to present “Abide”, a collection of artwork by Nicole Williford. This stunning collection of one of Portland’s strongest artistic voices is a stirring reflection into portraiture artwork of individuals who are often overlooked in society. With each piece of work Williford brings focus to the individual and what connects them to relationships within their community, circumstances and self. Nicole’s work will be showcased alongside p:ear youth artwork.
p:ear’s unique Job Training Program, “Coffee Works” will also be open during the openings, with youth in the program serving complimentary espresso drinks and drip coffee.
