A special thank you

As we sink into summer session with our community’s most vulnerable young people, we’d like to send a sincere thank you to our donors and sponsors for the generous contributions they've made to p:ear this year.

It was an incredible night of support, raising $495,000 for our vital programs for our community’s homeless youth! Your belief in the futures of these valuable but vulnerable young folk is what makes our work possible. As the number of young people who walk through our doors continues to grow rapidly, your investment is vital to help instill safety, nourishment and learning opportunities.

You made our event so successful, and you looked great doing it! Here’s the facebook pix and here’s the photobooth pix!

Special thanks go to Kim Stafford, Oregon Poet Laureate, for reading his beautiful poem, “Forage,” and to Bryan Steelman of Por Que No, for being the recipient of the 2019 Community Partnership Award. We are so grateful!

Thank you also to our entertainers and performers: Dreamdate, House of Flora, House of Ada, DJ Wednesday and The Gay Beards, and to our amazing sponsors and supporters: The Harold & Arlene Schnitzer CARE Foundation, HomeStreet Bank, New Seasons Market, Banner Bank, The Boeing Company, Finity, Foundation, Heritage Bank, Lane Hickey, Moda, The Standard, Vibrant Table Catering and Events, Wells Fargo, WeMake, Wieden + Kennedy, Sika Stanton, Melissa Delzio, Kaitlin Green, The Nightwood Society, Tabor Bread, New Deal Distillery, Nossa Familia Coffee, Owen Roe Winery, Freeland Spirits, and Gigantic Brewing.

Why do we do this? For the kids. Watch the video again to hear them in their own words.
