We Did It!
Thank you for supporting our gala, p:ear blossoms “My Sheltering Sky - in place,” p:ear’s first Virtual Gala in support of our mission of creatively mentoring homeless youth. We were thrilled to see so many of our p:ear community members join us for this landmark event, and are happy to announce that we raised close to $400K, surpassing our goal!
Your belief in the futures of these valuable but vulnerable young folk is what makes our work possible. Thank you for “showing up” for them.

About the Event:
On June 19th, we celebrated p:ear’s 18 years of working with Portland’s homeless youth with a content-rich Virtual Gala featuring local celebrities (Congressman Earl Blumenauer, Liz Gilbert of Eat Pray Love, Portugal. The Man, host Poison Waters, and auctioneer Johnna Wells) and the vibrant voices of our community.
p:ear believes every young person deserves a place where they are nurtured and encouraged to grow: a sheltering sky that inspires curiosity and is fueled by hope and grounded in love. During the Covid-19 Crisis, our work with youth continues. We are their sheltering sky.
