It's the 4th Annual "From Smiths to Smithereens: A Tribute to 80s College Rock", here to raise money and promote membership for p:ear core, p:ear’s monthly giving club, Eight Portland bands have been enlisted to play a few of their favorite ‘80s college rock covers. Expect tunes from R.E.M., New Order, The Clash, Kate Bush, Violent Femmes, The Cure, Camper Van Beethoven, Husker Du, Indigo Girls, U2, and of course, The Smiths and Smithereens.
Sign up for p:ear core and you will be entered to win prizes from Montucky, the Jupiter and Jupiter Next Hotels, gift cards from Foundation, Garnish, Oatly and other local businesses AND a guitar signed by Tom Morello of Prophets of Rage!

The “Friends and Family” show brings together p:ear’s community of volunteers, staff and youth in one giant art show. You’ll be welcomed in with a cup of coffee from our youth student / employees of p:ear’s unique barista school, and then be able to peruse the art of Debra Beers, Jeremy Okai Davis, Alex Chiu, Michael Schindler, and Jesse Reno, as well as an incredible collection of p:ear youth artists. Join us on Thursday Dec 6th, from 5pm to 8pm to support p:ear youth on their journeys off the street by purchasing some great art for your holiday giving.
p:ear Bike Works is looking for a dynamic individual to manage, grow and help develop our social purpose enterprise community bike shop. In partnership with the Rosewood Initiative, p:ear Bike Works will help support Portland’s Eastside communities, providing low cost, low barrier access to bike education, repair and sales of refurbished bicycles and parts. Our shop is located within the Rosewood Initiative building at 16126 SE Stark St.
